This is the first post of a blog started for a "interesting" class in the MTE program at EOU. I would like to introduce this blog as things learned while student teaching that will stick with me throughout my teaching career. Things learned, thoughts of administration, thoughts of cooperating teachers and thoughts of university supervisors will be the basis of this blog. This could be a blueprint of what an incoming MTE intern will learn next year.
The first thing I need to state is the monotonous of showing up everyday. This has been a shock to me to have to get out of bed and look semi-presentable to the public and be at school by 7:45 am. I have been used to showing up for that noon class fighting off a hangover in my sweats and baseball cap pulled over my eyes. No more! Im proud to say that after a hot shower, a piece of toast and a 20oz Latte that I can take on the world. And If I can do that, then well, anybody can do it. The world being the 7 - 12 grade students at beautiful Union High School.
This is the first tidbit of much more knowledge coming...
